Modernist/Imagist Poetry?

Hello. I am a poet, myself and I really do think that you should just be yourself and think of things that express you and are important to you, today. So don't get too frustrated. Don't think of this as an assignment, but just a way to express yourself and for your professor to get to know you! And if you want to do gas prices? Well go on ahead! Maybe you should try to capture it in a moment... but add a little philosophy in it? Like a philosophical haiku? I mean, haikus are pretty simple to write... hope this helps!
