What helps genital herpes heal quicker? Please help!?

I am currently having my first outbreak of genital herpes and I am in so much pain and discomfort. I know it is a common disease and I was just wondering if anyone has any tips that work as to what could help it heal quicker or hurt less? I am currently just starting to blister and am taking acyclovir tablets and lysine tablets. Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated.. Thanks :)
