Is it weird to start getting pimples at age 18?

because i never experienced a huge outbreak of pimples before now i have moderate acne..... i've done nothing different, same lifestyle... anyone can tell me the cause of these? BTW i started getting oily skin for some reason (my mom has oily skin and still do..) i'm clean.
